EU Food Legislation: Labelling for Consumers 

A quick glance at a ‘to do’ lists and it’s easy to see why many businesses find it a challenge to keep up-to-date with changes in EU Regulations. That’s why we've created a ‘quick glance’ EU infographic, so you can stay on top.

The next change affecting the food industry comes on the 13th December 2016, the deadline when all food producers must be fully compliant with the EU Food Labelling Regulation 1169/2011, (which, in plain English, means having mandatory nutrition declarations on prepacked foods).

Labels were changed back in 2014, when the regulation required them to clearly highlight allergen ingredients. Now, all pre-packaged food must include the nutrition facts information in a table form.
