One of the secrets to us winning the Print Week award is the dedicated team of labellers that make us who we are.
Amy Chambers, managing director at Label Apeel, on her team:
“Creating a happy, hard working and harmonious working environment is something we’ve been striving for, for a number of years. We’ve recently recruited four new apprentices who have brought a new lease of life to the business and allow other members of the team to develop management skills, and showcase the unique skills they have acquired whilst working at Label Apeel. As a business we understand it’s not just about the product or service we offer, without the people in the business there is no product or service, that’s why we’re committed to making their life outside work as easy as possible. We’re looking at offering an ironing service and also installing a canteen, so they can have a hot meal during the day and go home knowing their clothes are taken care of, just one less job that they don’t have to do. We want to help people reach their full potential so everybody gets stacks of training and learning opportunities; everything from first aid 8 trained this year (that’s a lot of plasters) to MBA’s (that’s a lot of paracetomol). We also make sure our team know what is going on in the business, every month they get a sit down meeting and we explain the financial position and the direction of the business, this means everybody feels involved and responsible for our continued success. On top of this sales are strong and our customers are extremely content with the quality of service and our philosophy that’s unique to the print industry.” Smiles Amy.
