To make stunning foiled labels, we start with the right tools. Let me show you what goes into the process.

This machine bonds the foil to your labels with heat and pressure, creating that gorgeous finish.

The dies give shape to the foil, bringing out the detail and design that make your labels special. The dies can be made out of either brass, copper or magnesium.

Getting the settings just right is key—too much or too little heat can affect the final result. Balancing those heat settings against the amount of pressure applied and then setting the amount of milliseconds the foil will linger on the substrate. Getting the balance between all these factors is crucial and each design will require a different and unique approach. Bigger bolder foil areas will require more heat and more pressure. Finer detail will require less. Most designs incorporate a combination of both bold and fine. This is where the skill of the operator is employed to create the exact balance.

Fluted Dies: Allow us to emboss the foiled area at the same time as foiling. This would give your labels a raised texture and another dimension to engage with your customer. Fluted dies can add a true look and feel of luxury to any brand for no additional cost above the foiling.

Textured Foils: Have a texture etched in to the foiling die. This texture will catch the light and create contrast on the finished product. They ca give a real elegant touch and again come at no additional cost.

Combination Foiling: Don’t feel you are limited to a single foil colour either. We can mix multiple colours on a single pass through the machine. The most we have done to date is four but don’t let that limit your ambition.
