Our Label Designer Training Day has been featured in the June issue of International Bottler & Packer, an industry publication covering bottling, packaging and production across the drinks sector. The feature looks at how the day helps designers and brands better understand what happens between a design on screen and the finished label on the bottle.
The article takes readers onto the shop floor at our Leicester site, where attendees see different print and finishing processes in action and get a closer look at how labels move from artwork through to production.
What Designers Can Expect on the Day
Hot foil, embossing and screen printing are all covered during the day, with the opportunity to see how choices made at the design stage affect the finished label. We also look at digital and conventional printing, different materials and some of the practical considerations that can make a difference when a label reaches production.
Sustainability is part of the conversation too, including label size, material choices and making sure the label works as part of the overall pack.
The aim of the day has always been straightforward: to give designers a better understanding of what is possible in print, what to think about when preparing a label design, and when it is worth involving the printer early in the process.
It was great to see the training day covered by a publication focused specifically on the bottling and packaging industry.
