The name “Tacnbora” is Old English for “standard bearer,” a title once carried by those who led Northumbrian kings into battle, emblematic of leadership and pride. This spirit is echoed in both the whisky and its striking label, setting the tone for Ad Gefrin’s commitment to legacy and excellence.
The label’s earthy, sun-kissed colour palette is achieved through a meticulous five-colour flexographic printing process on a premium substrate, delivering sharp, vibrant tones that radiate with the natural warmth of early summer.
What truly makes this label stand out is its expert combination of subtle sombre hues with the full-on bling of the foil. The central logo and key details are enhanced with metallic foiling and refined embossing, applied in separate, highly controlled steps to guarantee perfect registration. This creates a stunning contrast between soft, organic colours and radiant, tactile foil that shimmers like June sunlight.
